A guide to what Dapur Saraswati is and whose dapur it is.
Prinka Saraswati used to have only one desk in the dapur (kitchen) where she prepped food, ate and worked on that same desk. The tiny cramped dapur is where she found the love child of cooking and writing; food writing. This newsletter is no longer written from that desk by the dapur in Indonesia. Rather, it perpetually transforms into new forms, depending on where she is at and what she is doing other on a daily basis.
Prinka Saraswati is a textile and craft archivist, a writer, and an editor. Her writings can be found in Nowness, Now Bali, Lazy Susan, and Rakel.
